Introduction
Scientific research is one of the real indicators of the progress of society. To achieve this, the Scientific Research Unit of the College has adapted research and benefited from scientific periodicals to meet national requirements through various programs offered by PSAU or other institutions. The unit is also concerned with providing technical support and advice to faculty members in order to enrich the scientific research process at the College of Arts and Sciences in Wadi Al-Dawasir. The unit is also considered a link between the college and the University Vice Presidency for Scientific Research at the university's headquarters in Al-Kharj

The Scientific Research Unit seeks with faculty members to conduct high-level researches that are capable of solving scientific and industrial problems based on serving the surrounding community. The unit's mission is to develop and promote scientific research and encourage researchers by providing a supportive scientific environment.
Unit tasks:
- Provide research technical support and overcoming obstacles faced by faculty members.
- Encourage and solve the challenges related scientific research in areas of interest identified by the university on the basis of national needs.
- Seek to conduct funded research and advisory services.
- Cooperate with local and international institutions to achieve common goals and establish research programs.
- Develop and support a vibrant scientific research culture that supports creativity and serves both employees and the university.
- Work on developing the countries’ resources of productive research.
- Facilitate international cooperation in global research and patent partnership.
- Announce new research programs and encouraging researchers to participate.
- encourage the participation of distinguished students in research projects supported to develop a distinguished generation of Saudi researchers.
- Support and develop the distinguished competencies of faculty members and students.
- Coordination with the Quality Unit to prepare the annual statistics for scientific research at the college level through the number of research projects, their quality and level of publication, and whether they are funded or not.
