About the unit:
The idea of establishing the Protection of Student Rights Unit at the College of Arts and Sciences at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Wadi Al-Dawassir came from the commitment of the administration to educate students about their rights, and duties in order to establish a sense of belonging to the kingdom and the university. The unit also aims to attain justice and fairness among students which would lead eventually to improve their academic performance and their problem-solving skills. Besides that, the unit works to strengthen the relationship between the students, faculty members, and all employees who work in the campus.
Vision:
To improving students' personalities and their skills to solve problems legitimately without compromising on others' rights by teaching them their rights and duties.
Mission:
To adopt justice, equality between college's students and all its employees, spread the concept of dialogue, and prevent conflict in order to maintain the highest level of quality in academic work by establishing the principles of rights and duties.
Objectives:
The unit aims to:
- Raise students' awareness regarding their rights and duties
- Inform students on how to obtain their rights through approaching the official bodies .
- Instill the value of performing duties while demanding rights
- Investigate and study the complaints submitted by the students
- establish a compatible community in which the spirit of cooperation prevails among its employees.
- Adopt justice and equity as a basis in building an ideal society within the university.
- Support students' rights on compliance with the rules and regulations at the university.
