The Community Service Unit at the College of Arts and Sciences in Wadi Al Dawasir - in cooperation with the Department of Mathematics - presented a workshop entitled (Committees for Social Development and Volunteering Fields), on Thursday 13/4/1443 AH. The workshop demonstrated the benefits of volunteering and motivating students to do so, especially in investing time and self-development. And then talk about a number of themes that are represented in defining volunteer work and calculating it in the skill record and community development, and then reviewing some programs to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030, including the Quality of Life Program and the Human Capacity Development Program, and the vision of Prince Sattam University and its most prominent strategic goals that reflected the state’s vision in contributing to programs Community development. The social development committees, their objectives, and their leading role in implementing the vision that seeks excellence in developing programs that support partnership and social responsibility were also introduced. The national platform for volunteer work organized to activate volunteer activities and initiatives in the community in various Saudi cities and how to participate in those initiatives and counting was also presented. Volunteer hours. This was a motivator for students to take the initiative and participate in community service that can be achieved through participation in the social development committees in Wadi Al Dawasir, which were reviewed and some of the volunteer opportunities available on the national volunteering platform.
