In order to achieve community partnership between local community institutions and in order to activate the role of the department’s female staff in contributing to social development and local partnership, Kamda High School in Wadi Al-Dawasir hosted on Monday, 28 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1444 AH the participation of the Mathematics Department at the College of Arts and Sciences in Wadi Al-Dawasir, which was the first initiative of the community service unit in the department. The Assistant Head of the Department, Dr. Amira Salem Awwad gave a lecture entitled (How to Study Mathematics), which started with the importance of mathematics and explained the most important steps that help the student to study mathematics, as well as preparing for the test and the factors for excellence in it.
After that, a lecture entitled (Committees for Social Development and Methods of Volunteering), which was presented by Dr. Hayaa Saeed Al-Dosari to motivate female students and teachers to contribute to community service in various fields and interests. The lecture began by explaining the importance of volunteering and its impact on the personality of high school graduates and some of the systems followed for official approvals to approve the hours required to be completed by high school graduates in the field of volunteering.
