.A workshop under the title “Table of Exam Specifications” was held in the College of Arts and Science in collaboration with the College of Education. The workshop targeted both male and female section in all the departments of the college. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Mohamed Ahsayed Abdul-Lateef, Assistant professor in the College of Education. It dealt with the different criteria of a reliable test and its importance in measuring how far the content of the course is assessed in this test. It also gives a reliable judgment on the test and the level of understanding achieved by the students of the content of the course. A reliable test is a clear indication of the extent of achieving the objectives as well as the areas of learning outcomes within the national framework of the qualifications as well as the different kinds of the expected types of learning, the levels of the students and the types of questions which are divided in two: Open ended Questions and Objective Questions. The presenter also explained with application to the audience how to calculate the proportional measurements of the topics taught and their objectives.
It worth mentioning that this workshop comes within the framework of the program of the deanship for developing the skills of the staff members at setting exams. On the other hand, the workshop was translated into English to the non-Arabic speakers by one of the staff members from the English department. .At the end of the workshop, all the staff members thanked Dr. Mohamed Alsayed for his efforts in illustrating the meaning of Table of Exam Specifications and how to deal with it
