The Academic Advisory Unit in the College of Arts and Science in Wadi Addawasir held a function in which it welcomed the new students who started their study program in the second semester 1437/38 (2016/17), and honored the outstanding students in the College in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr Sefer bin Bakhit Al-Mudarri, as well as the Vice Dean Dr Faisal bin Mohammed Aisiri, the supervisor of the preparatory year Dr Zakaria Mukhtar, the Coordinator of the Unit Dr Subhi El-milegi, in addition to the heads of departments and a number of the academic staff members in the College. The function was organized by Dr Adel Abdo. In his speech the Dean mentioned that the College is one of the scientific beacons that raised up in the skies of the Province of Wadi Addawasir, and that it seeks to reaching the highest levels of distinctions in research, teaching and community development. He also congratulated the new students and hoped that they will find a convenient climate for gaining educational achievements.
For his part, Dr Zakaria said that the College is pleased to enroll new students in all colleges in the university, and it congratulates the outstanding students who have obtained the highest GPAs. He added that the College seeks to providing the necessary needs and supporting all the programs through units of student activities. The head of the English Department, Dr Anil Prasad expressed his happiness to the outstanding students. He briefed the new students with some information about the Department. For his part the Coordinator of Students’ Rights, Dr Nasser Radi welcomed the new students, and thanked the Deanship for honoring the outstanding students. He also praised the role of the Academic Advisory Unit represented by the coordinator, Dr Sobhi for honoring the outstanding students and welcoming the new students. He also praised this Unit for adopting the various issues of the students, and its seeking to solving the issues in cooperation with the Deanship of the College.
