"Specifications of a Good Test"

According to the directives of the Dean of the College of Arts and Science in Wadi Adwaser Dr. Safar Almudarae and within the scientific activities that Department of Mathematics has been consistently organizing at the college, Dr. Hany Jaradat has presented a seminar under the title “Specifications of a Good Test". The seminar has centered on two main issues. The first was on “the characteristics of a good test” and the second was on “the steps of preparing a good test”. For the first, the presenter has stated that a good test has some main characteristics and other secondary ones that should be taken into consideration because of their importance in deciding the type of the test. As for the second, the presenter has given a detailed explanation of the six steps that should be followed in setting a good test. He supported his explanation with different examples taken from different courses of mathematics. In the end of the seminar, the presenter opened the discussion and answered the queries of the colleagues and this in turn has enriched their knowledge. The chairman of the department has praised the seminar because of its value and the benefit that the audience got as it will contribute to developing the process of examination as a whole .
