Message:
- Enhance the efficiency and speed of performing administrative procedures for scholarships and training requests by applying modern administrative technology.
- Encourage scholars and follow up on their status through their study and periodic reports.
- Follow up with the status of scholars through annual reports and provide the necessary information for the departments to build a strategic plan compatible with Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University's strategic plan and prepare faculty members, lecturers and new teaching assistants for the educational process.
Goals:
- Recommend what the unit deems appropriate in light of the annual scholarship plan.
- Suggest general policy for scholarships and training after coordinating with colleges’ departments.
- Suggest the annual plan to send and train the faculty’s employees abroad after coordinating with the relevant authorities at the college and present it to the faculty council to take the necessary action.
- Recommend the extension or termination of scholarships or training based on the proposal of the departmental councils and based on the reports received from external supervisors at the Saudi Arabian Cultural Missions.
- Suggest the annual plan for faculty training including, lecturers and new teaching assistants to prepare them for the educational process, in coordination with the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development.
- Prepare a detailed annual report on the status of scholarships and training at the college and department levels and submit it to the University Council for consideration and taking the necessary action.
- Establish rules, policies and executive mechanisms for scholarships and training, and follow up on their implementation.
- Consider the recommendations of colleges to send teaching assistants and lecturers abroad to seek higher degrees, coordinate and recommend what they deem appropriate in light of the annual scholarship plan, taking into account the following:
- The number of Saudi faculty members and their ratio to the total faculty members in the department, their specializations, and their teaching load.
- The number of lecturers and teaching assistants in the department.
- The number of the faculty members who are studying abroad at each department, their expected return, and their majors
- Follow up on the status of scholars and trainees in coordination with the scientific departments or the entity to which the scholars or trainees are affiliated, provided that they submit a report to the University Council on the scholars who have failed in their studies after half the period passed.
