The university faculties in the governorates of Wadi Addawassir and Sulayel received the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Thelab Shakra, and his accompanying delegation in the airport of Wadi Addawassir. They were received by the supervisor of the Student Activities in University Agency for the Branches, Dr. Misfer bin Saud Al-Haresh and Mr. Nayef bin Mohammed Al Naif, the director of the Relations and Media Unit in the Agency for Branches. No sooner had he arrived, than he visited the office of the Student Activities in Wadi Addawassir so as to meet the students of the faculties in the governorates of Wadi AAddawassir and Sulayel in order to listen to their suggestions and requirements and overcome all the difficulties facing the process of student activities and services. This visit is also an implementation of the directives of His Excellency the Rector of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al-Assimi, and an accomplishment of the deanship plan based on the principle of communication with the faculties of the university and its students and tracking the needs of colleges in terms of student activities and services offered by the Deanship to the university students. During his visit to the office of Student Activities, he attended the activities of “Youth Evenings” (a meeting program held on Tuesday each week for the students of the governorates of Wadi Addawassir and Sulayel). Dr. Shakra and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by students from the different college. An open meeting that was pre-arranged for the occasion took place. In this meeting, Dr. Shakra spoke about the Deanship and its care for all students’ tendencies manifested in their activities. He also added that the Deanship is supporting all activities that serve the students and contribute to hone their talents and develop their understanding through all types of activities (sports, cultural scouting, social, artistic, and theatrical) and student clubs. He was calling students to contribute to the success and development of these activities through participation and competition so as to enrich these activities. In the end of the meeting, Dr. Shakra listened to the interventions of the students and their suggestions and requirements and answered all their questions, stressing all the the Rector’s, Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al-Assimi, accurate and permanent eagerness about and follow-up of students’ activities, events and services in order to provide all that serves the students and contributes to their excellence in all areas. Dr. Shakra expressed his thanks to “Youth Evenings” students for what he had seen and told them that they were the leaders of the future and the pride of the university, the governorates, and the country. In the end of the meeting, there was room for souvenir photos and dinner.
